The Advanced Guide To Item Upgrading

Path of Exile Item Upgrading

In Path of Exile, item upgrading is one of the best ways to upgrade your gear without relying upon massive drops or trade. This article will show you how to upgrade your items.

Upgrades to equipment provide an increase to the item's base stats. This bonus scales with the upgrade component level and rarity.

Components

Upgrade components are the parts that can make your weapons and armor better. You can get them from destroying enemies, finding them in spheres of items or buying them from karma dealers. You can also salvage them from equipment that has the components or by using salvage kits of high-end quality, such as Black Lion Salvage Kit and Ascended Salvage Tool. Upgrade components cannot be destroyed by removing them from an item.

Upgrade components are primarily used to upgrade an item, but they can also be used for other purposes. They can be stacked in order to increase the level of the amount of experience gained by upgrading equipment or weapons. They can also be forged to offer additional benefits. A crafted glyph can increase the chances of upgrading its target while boost upgrades increase the attack or defense capabilities of the weapon.

You can connect an upgrade template to an item by selecting it from the edition GUI. This will display the upgrade components that the item can be upgraded. You can also use the workbench when selecting an upgrade template. In either scenario, the item will be upgraded when enough upgrade components are gathered.

Each component has a distinct experience multiplier, which affects the amount of experience an item receives when it upgrades with that component. For instance, organic components offer an experience multiplier that is higher than mechanical ones. It is recommended to upgrade organic components first until you reach the next rank in the weapon or equipment and then switch to the mechanical upgrades.

In addition to the multiplier for experience Each item also comes with the maximum number of upgrades that it can receive. The number of upgrades are determined by the rank that can be upgraded and the type of upgrade for the upgradeable item. The most powerful upgrade is a weapon of 10th level. However, the most commonly used weapon upgrades are an tier 6 weapon as well as a tier 5 armor upgrade.

Sets

A set is a collection of objects which all have the same bonus. Each item can be upgraded at minimum once. The upgrade increases the amount of bonuses you can expect to receive. The first time you upgrade a set piece or weapon is that it will be given an increase of +1 to its primary stat. On subsequent upgrades, the primary stats will be boosted a little further (for example, +1 to 12+/13+/14+) Each time you upgrade the item, one of its extra stats is boosted randomly.

Upgrades can also increase the base damage of a weapon. This may be important for certain types of builds. However, weapons cannot be upgraded to have a higher defense level than their regular base.  try what she says  to increase the value of certain sets and unique items by upgrading them, but they might not always be superior to a high-level Runeword.

If the item you're upgrading has a guarantee bonus, it can be rerolled only once and the guarantee will be reset to 0. The same amount of power die is used to roll an item as it is used to increase its level. However, the new item has different bonuses. Upgrading can be done at the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine. To upgrade an item you will need the appropriate amount Minerals and Erons and a power dice of each type. They can be purchased by using Gold at the crafting table, or in the Ultra Collection. NPCs also offer special rewards for each completed level of the upgrade process. This reward is rerollable once and will use the same materials as the first item.

Rerolling

A player can play rerolling any item that they acquire in the game if they have enough reroll tokens. If an item is rerolled, it will be replaced by a level 1 version in another set. Reroll tokens can be bought from the store for an amount of in-game currency, but they are not refundable. The upgraded item will still come with the extra benefits of the previous one, but its stats will differ as well.

Players can change the identification of their equipment as well as changing it's roll by interfacing with an upgrader NPC. This will change the identification from an armor to a weapon or vice versa, all the while maintaining its base stats and attributes that are required. The change is permanent and will affect all characters who are wearing the gear.

Players can also increase the level of an item equipped equipment by obtaining upgrade components and interacting with the item's upgrader NPC. This will cost a set number of crests and Valorstones depending on the upgrade track and type. Each upgrade will add an additional 5% of damage to weapons.

An upgrade can make it more powerful, but it will also lower its quality. Therefore, it is crucial to balance the two. Some items are not worth upgrading, while others require upgrading to make them more effective. For example one player might wish to upgrade a piece of breakpoint armor that comes with an interesting modifier (% chance to block or FHR) to see what it can be.

The main reason people reroll in Genshin Impact, or in any gacha-based game, is that they're trying to acquire a certain character or weapon that they can't otherwise obtain. These items can be expensive and time-consuming, and the RNG gods don't always want to cooperate. The only options left is to shell out real money or grind for a long time. Rerolling is a popular feature in Genshin Impact.

Leveling

When upgrading an item, you can upgrade the weapon or armor. This feature isn't available in the current version of the game. I believe this feature was created to increase the value of expensive and rare items. However, since most equipment is replaced quickly and can only be upgraded by one level, you'll generally replace it before it gets too old. It's also not worthwhile to  upgrade item s with gem sockets because the power of the gem will far outweigh the increase in ilvl with the upgrade.

When you click the upgrade option on an item, you'll see a small window with the upgrade template for the item and the cost of Valorstone and crest to increase the item level. The cost of upgrades will vary based on the armor and weapons as well, with the former typically costing more than the latter. The upgrade template outlines the stats to be added to an upgraded item, as well as its current base ilvl.

The crest and Valorstone costs are calculated according to the item's current ilvl as well as the upgrade template. The ilvl will also be reduced by the upgrade template's reduction percentage of lvl. For example the weapon that has an upgrade decrease of 8% will decrease its ilvl by 8 - 8 percent.

In addition to the base ilvl boost it will also receive upgrades in other stats like critical strike damage, PvE damage, dodge, block, and parry rating. These increases are also based off the upgrade template.

The amount of damage and defense that the item is able to receive when leveled up can be observed below the cost and upgrade decrease percentages in the upgrade template window. Apart from the practice equipment, all armor and weapons gain these same stats when leveled up. The market will determine the value of these stats. A weapon or armor that has perfect rolls can fetch more than a non-upp’d version. The same applies to other pieces of armor such as tiaras and circlets.
